Metro North Leadership Program Celebrates 2007 Class Graduation

The Role of Leader’s Day, marked the final session for 2007 Metro North Chamber Leadership Program Class. The day served as a review of the entire year, along with special presentations from Metro North Chamber Board of Directors on what being a leader means to them personally, in their business and in the community.Directors that joined the Leadership Class included Dan Goodwin of Donelson, Ciancio, Goodwin & Juarez, PC, Terry Melonakis of Melonakis Financial, Joe Talarico and Dana Talarico of Talarico & Associates, Andy Ellison of Mountain View Commerce Bank (proposed), Brad Harvey, Horizons North Credit Union, and Mary Hughes of Key Bank.Christine Benero, American Red Cross and 9 News Leader of the Year also addressed the class on the characteristics of a being a leader.Special thanks to the Center for Spinal Disorders for hosting the class, Colorado Lending Source for sponsoring breakfast, and Pro Chrysler Jeep for sponsoring lunch.

The Metro North Leadership Program equips participants to grow professionally and ascend to the next level in their business and community endeavors with training in several areas from effective communication skills to interacting with elected officials. The Program brings diverse people together to broaden their experiences and perspectives. Metro North Leadership begins each year in September and continues through June, with one session each month.The community becomes the classroom as classes are held in a variety of forums throughout the Metro North region and participants have the opportunity to learn through various channels including presentations by prominent speakers within the public and private sector, in-depth debate and dialog and other interactive experiences.Leadership skills are emphasized in all activities.
