Taste of the Chamber 2006

The 2006 “Taste of the Chamber” had something for everyone this year. Thousands of food connoisseurs turned out to enjoy a wide variety of offerings from 36 local restaurants and vendors. Each year the Chamber is thrilled to showcase the best restaurants that the Metro North region has to offer. Events like this provide the opportunity to build relationships and a sense of community. We hope everyone who attended will continue to visit the participating restaurants and help support local businesses.
     Now in its 6^th year, the Taste has grown steadily since its inception back in 2001. That growth in participation has seen an expansion in attendance as well as judging categories. The “Best Soup” Category made its debut this year; bringing the total number of judging categories to an even 10. This proved to make the judges’ decisions even tougher than in previous years.
     The Chamber also continued the tradition of donating tickets to local police, fire and emergency workers. Over 500 tickets were donated to local agencies as a thank you for their support and dedication to the Metro North region.
     Thanks to everyone who attended this year. We look forward to having even more restaurants and attendees in 2007!
